Patrol Officer

Sevier County is accepting applications for the position of Patrol Officer. Activities associated with the job include the routine patrol of businesses and neighborhoods, investigation of complaints, criminal activity and accidents, prosecution of criminal and civil cases, preparation of reports and other documentation and the apprehension of individuals suspected of criminal activity. Job responsibilities require considerable experience in law enforcement activities, strong organizational, interpersonal and decision making skills and sufficient strength and agility to perform the physically demanding aspects of the job in a variety of weather conditions. Sevier County Emergency Communications District is accepting applications for the position of an Emergency Communications (E911) Dispatcher.  Activities associated the job include assisting with dispatch activities, interacting with regional law enforcement and emergency management entities and assisting with providing pre-arrival emergency medical information when needed.  This position requires the applicant to be available for a variety of shift work and the flexibility to cover other shifts in the event of absences or other unforeseen circumstances including weekends and Holidays.

Paramedic

Activities associated with the job include responding to a wide variety of emergency situations upon dispatch, administering emergency first aid and transporting victims in need of further medical assistance.  Job responsibilities require thorough experience in emergency response activities, strong organizational, interpersonal and decision making skills and sufficient strength and agility to perform the physically demanding aspects of the job in a variety of weather conditions.This position requires the applicant to be available to work rotating shifts and the flexibility to cover other shifts in the event of absences or other unforeseen circumstances including occasional weekends and Holidays.  Applicants must possess a valid and current Paramedic certification for the State of Tennessee.
